In a nutshell, the different Departments of Government gave their situationer & analyses on how oil supply, fresh produce, processed goods, health, alternative energy and transport logistics may be affected by the current oil price hike. Each Department was redefining their own set of parameters to determine at what point should they call a situation an emergency so they can administer radical moves in addressing such situations. In the meantime, they have grouped solutions/measures as urgent, short-term & long-term in addressing the varied scenarios confronting the different segments of governance & society. No price freeze was determined as necessary for the moment. Constant review to be carried out by NPCC.
