In the morning of 20 August 2022, PAGASA Vice President Liansel Sy guests in veteran host Alvin Elchico's Teleradyo program "Bida Konsyumer" to elaborate on government's request with three supermarket chains to lower their prices for white refined sugar.

 In the morning of 18 August 2022, BusinessWorld Live pursued developments with STC on importation of white refined sugar to augment scarcity of supply.
