  NPCC MEETING. To address the calamity and lack of supplies in the countryside affected by Typhoons Pedring and Quiel, the National Price Coordinating Council monitors prices in the flooded areas. Attending this particular meeting (L-R) are STC, Dir. Dimagiba, Oil & Price Watch Chairman Raul Concepcion, DTI Usec. Zenaida Maglaya, DTI Sec. Gregory Domingo, NEDA Dep. Dir. Gen. Margarita R. Songco and many others from concerned public & private agencies.

  STC attends a Senate Public Hearing to review the Retail Liberalization Law by Senators Manuel Villar and Teofisto Guingona III. Beside STC is Phil. Retailers Association’s Roberto Claudio. Others in the panel were from the American Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Joint Chambers of Commerce & Industry. STC gave his stand on why he thinks global retailers do not find our country attractive as an investment site. |

PAGASA Donate foods to typhoon Pedring & Quiel Victims |

  In response to the non-receding floodwaters of Bulacan and Pampanga due to typhoons Pedring & Quiel, PAGASA decided to donate ready-to-eat biscuits to those left on rooftops and easy-to-prepare foodstuff for victims living in evacuation centers. On 2 Oct. 2011, STC handed the food donations to Pinoy Power Institute represented by Mae Paner (in pink) and Ruby Gamboa (checkered blouse) assisted by the staff of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan>Renan Dalisay and Kina Santillan who will bring the goods kjkz o the affected areas. |
