DTI TO SUBMIT LEGISLATIVE BILLS TO PUSH BY NEW ADMINISTRATION; INVITES PAGASA AS RESOURCE PERSON

PAGASA was invited as one of nine resource people in a Consultative Session by DTI on 8 July 2022 for their LEGIS19C Output (Legislative Measures proposed for the 19th Congress).

This was done at the top floor (35/F) of Seda Residences (hotel component) in Makati. DTI was represented by Usec. Ruth Castelo, Asec. Mary Jean Pacheco/Legislative Liaison Officer, Asec. Ann Cabochan, Policy Research Dir. Janet Cuenca and a whole barrage of Exec. Staff from the different agencies under the DTI.

They wanted to pick the brains of the resource people represented by Export Development Council's Dr. Enrico "Henry" Basilio, Makati Bus. Club's Geneva Guyano, Atty. Arlene Evardone, a lady rep. PCCI/PhilExport, PRA's Roberto Claudio, PAGASA's STC, AmCham's John Forbes, SEIPI's Dan Lachica and LABAN KONSYUMER's Andrew de la Rosa.

The DTI Team wanted to prepare key pieces of legislation for DTI Sec. Alfredo Pascual to propose as needed when Congress reopens on 25 July this year.
