At the Cabinet Meeting for Economic Development, the President herself gave the directive for supermarkets to sell subsidized Special Rice from the NFA (National Food Authority) to soften the impact of continuous rise in the world price of rice. Selected PAGASA stores obliged and sold this NFA Special Rice at P35/kg. limited to 2 kilos per customer.
