Phil. Retailers Assn. (PRA) Pres. Bernie Liu/Penshoppe congratulates PAGASA Pres. Steven Cua and awards him a Plaque of Distinction for continuous active involvement at the National Retailers Conference 2009 in behalf of PAGASA (an affiliate member of the PRA).

PAGASA’s STC is invited as a Resource Person for the prospects of carrying Organic Rice on all Supermarket shelves at a Consultative Workshop held at the Davao Insular Hotel. This was organized by ICCO>an interchurch cooperative organization based in the Netherlands and was attended by NGOs assisting organic rice farmers nationwide.

Dichiosa hears the latest regarding the use and proper disposal of plastic bags in supermarkets/shops with National Solid Waste Management Commissioners Tony Chiong (R) and Alfredo Chan. Retailers were consulted regarding the best solution that fits our society to this global dilemma endangering our environment.

PAGASA’s STC is one of the Resource Speakers at this four-day Conference of APFTI practitioners from all over the country. This Conference in Cebu is attended mostly by NGO’s helping farmers, fisherfolk and craftsmen in the countryside. PAGASA practices Corporate Social Responsibility by sharing at functions like these on how their products can get into the shelves of the modern trade.

PAGASA’s Steve Cua is interviewed by husband & wife team who will represent the Philippines in the Netherlands for a competition on green entrepreneurship. FEU Finance Prof. Rosemarie Gardiner- Buenconsejo’s novel concept of organic non-food products like detergents and soaps attracted the attention of competition organizers. They interview STC regarding the chances of selling these products on the shelves of supermarkets.
